Photographer, Educator, and Creative Director
Jaime Sonnier is a Houston-based photographer, educator, and creative director with over 20 years of experience in visual storytelling. With a Master’s in Photojournalism from UT Austin, her work blends the eye of a journalist with the sensitivity of an artist—rooted in presence, clarity, and emotional depth. Her career began with a roll of film and a friend’s wedding and has since grown into a practice grounded in honest, unscripted moments.
Through her brands—Casa de Camera for weddings and portraits, and Casa Media Co. for branding and content—Jaime creates imagery that’s both intentional and emotionally resonant. Her clients include Dropbox, Kuraray, Leven Bakery, and countless Houston entrepreneurs. Her work has been featured in InStyle, The Knot, Houstonia, and more.
As a trauma-informed educator and adoptive mother, Jaime teaches photography and visual arts with a relational, student-centred approach. She’s served on faculty at the Houston Center for Photography and currently teaches at Dietrich Bonhoeffer Academy. Available for photography commissions, brand collaborations, and coaching, Jaime brings calm focus, creative vision, and deep care to every project.
